Events now come with sign-up, prices and hosts

1 min read

Workshops and classes can now show who leads them, what they cost and a clear sign-up button, on the event page and on every card.

Abluo Journal: notes on calm publishing, from the team behind Abluo, the tiny CMS

Abluo has had an Events module for a while: dates, places, descriptions and a page for each event. What was missing was the step that matters most to a club or a studio: getting people to sign up.

A clear way to register

Each event can now carry a registration link with its own label. The link can point to an external booking page, a page on the site or an email address. On the event page it appears as the main button. If no label is set, a sensible default is used in the visitor’s language, such as Sign up, Iscriviti or S’inscrire.

Prices, without fuss

An event can list one or more price options, each with a label and an optional note, for example a member rate and a standard rate. The event page shows the full list. Cards show a compact summary, such as a single price or a starting price. Amounts are formatted for each language and currency.

Who’s leading it

Events can name their hosts, with a role and an optional link. That link can point to a teacher’s own section on the team page, so a visitor goes straight from a workshop to the person running it. Team members can also link to their own website.

Everywhere events appear

Hosts, prices and the sign-up link show up on event cards and listings across the site, not only on the detail page. Events without the new fields look exactly as before.

This release was shaped by CYCE, a yoga club in Brussels with workshops led by different teachers.
